BOOSTER PUMP
STATION LAYOUT
Underground
and open pit mine dewatering pumping systems
typically are either low pressure with the
pumps spaced out along the discharge
transport line at roughly even TDH
requirement locations; or else high pressure
systems where pumps are located
close-coupled in series at one location. Hy-Tran
specializes in dirty water or full slurry
pumping systems utilizing centrifugal slurry
pumps of either low pressure or high
pressure design. Booster pump station layout
is used for remote location of the various
stages of pumps spaced out along the
discharge line.
TYPICAL PIT
DEWATERING CONDITIONS
The schematic
above shows booster pump skids located at
various bench levels for dewatering an open
pit mine. These systems are designed for
rugged service and can moved from location
to location as mining conditions change.
Sumps are normally used to provide for low
pipeline pressures and ease of operation.
Variable frequency motor controllers can
also be supplied to automatically adjust for
flow and head variations. Hy-Tran also
supplies "STALLARD" non-slam high pressure
check valves to eliminate run back/water
hammer. This arrangement can also handle
intermittent flow additions from higher
elevations. |
